Well I sure have been thinking a lot of my family these days and where the root of 'Me' comes from as the countdown to the wedding sheds!
My inspirations stem from many very important people... Two of these people in my life are my beautiful Nan's (Grandmothers). I am so blessed, lucky and grateful to have them.
My Nan Hobbs (on the left) is my dads mother. You wouldn't believe if you met her that she is 92 years young!!! Nan has raised a family of 10 children, and our family has the utmost respect for her. She is so loving and young at heart. Nan has got to be one of the funniest people I know. Every time I talk with her on the phone, she has me laughing. For example last time I talked with nan we were discussing her birthday and how she had her hair colored, permed and she got a new outfit to wear. I was telling her how she always looks so nice and done up... she then said back to me " I'm not just going to lay down and rot, my dear. I have to look nice" Haha she cracks me up!
My Nan Tiedemann (on the right) is my moms mother. She has a small family of her own. That was a very different story for her childhood of being the oldest of a very large family of 12. Nan is so selfless and always puts everyone before herself. She is a social butterfly at events and is never sitting down, but instead making sure everyone is enjoying themselves. I love that about her!!! Nan loves pictures, I'm pretty sure that is where my obsession with taking pictures comes from. Nan is so proper but yet the least judgmental person I know. She is always laughing when we get together with our family and brings out the best in everyone. She is such joy!
These two (and my Mom) are some of the influential women that I have the privilege to love in my life! They love, inspire, motivate, and guide me to be the person I am today. I only pray to be half the women they are. Thank you for loving me endlessly!
That is beautiful. Your Nan's are very proud to have you for a granddaughter.
